Nice day today, took off early and headed for the surf lane with my new Quattro. Low tide was at 2:30, air temp 45* (warm for Ct.)no wind and I was all set to do some digging along the lane. There were lots of people wandering around, dogs, horses and even ultralights flying overhead. When I got down to the beach I got a big surprise. The erosion was horrible........a cut the whole length from 3 to 6 feet in depth right up to the boardwalk. To make matters worse, the state has been running bulldozers and pushing sand up against the boardwalk to protect it from the next storm. Needless to say the targets were very few other than a lot of iron trash (nails, nuts and bolts). All I managed to find was a thin silver wire from a bracelet.
