Multi coin holes [A personal record]

This week while hunting a hill overlooking a H.S. football Sta. I hit a strange signal, flashing Q & Half. not too deep abt 3-4 inches. So after probing I cut a plug. Up comes 5 Q's , rescaned and up comes 4 more Q' and a dime,
checked again and got one last Quarter! Thats $2.10 in one hole. Still can't figure out how these coins manage to sink into the ground and stay almose skin tight.?

Nice find ..Ive been lucky and have
2 different experiences like that ...
both last year ...its fun fior sure and
it makes ya wonder how someone could loose
so many coins in one spot ..

By my calculator 10 Quarters and dime makes $2.60. Congrats on the pocket spill! Always a pleasant surprise.

I found five Chuckie Cheese tokens in one hole once.
As the man said.."It was the best of times...it was the worst of times."

[size=large]my best was 4 qtrs. stacked together. as you said, how did they stay stacked or get stacked in the hole?
one does expect a coin here and one there but 10 on top of each other? ya gotta scratch the head on that.
congrats on your finds.

Nice hunt!:garrett::detecting:Those pocket spills are few and far between.
Congrats!:beers:Happy Hunting!:)

Seems that anytime I hunt a site that has loads of coins I dig many multiple coin holes. Nothing as good as yours, but I have found 7 quarters in one hole. Last week I must have dug10 multiple coin holes.

Good luck and thanks for the great post.
