Multi coin finds Part 2 Big coin splash!

Glad to see that finding two or more coins in one hole isn't all that rare. My biggest coin splash was at a picnic grove in a County Park. I'd been hunting about an hr. with not much to show, when my coil got real busy. Well, got down to probe and there was 4 pennies. When I laid down the coil, it landed on more of them. All on top. This splash went on for about an area of 5-6 feet, around 175 coins, all pennies, all on top. Seems a picnic had one of the toys the kids smack with a bat. I got what was left.

[size=large]came across the same thing last month at my county park. first day it was all mine. next day i employed four to five diggers. they got to keep what ever they dug. even found some nickels and dimes that weren't part of the original. also found one toy car. the little girl who dug it gave it to me for my collection. she kept the change tho. i can see using candy in those things but the coins disappear as soon as they hit the grass.saw a big party down there today. will have to investigate tomorrow. if you live in my town, don't read this.

Yeah, Widebody, If you ever see a patch of straw around those parks-- Check it out. I've come across a couple that they tossed coins in the straw for the kids to find. Like catching fish in a tub!!!
