Muddy field hunt gives up semi key indian and relics

BadJim and I played in the muddy field today, finds were coming VERY slow today, hunted for 4 hours to get this stuff and I was covered in mud....lol

Look at the first pic and look at the skeleton key and the broach, I think I did a pretty good good getting them back into a halfway straight condition, good enough to display. One coin for each of us today, I got a 1876 injun and Jim got a 1901 I think. Odd enough this was a field I have hunted at least 6-8 times in the past 2 yrs. The broken bracelet looks like silver but has no markings, both ends are broke off. The tiny silver piece looks like a miniture spoon handle and is marked sterling.

All in all still a fun day to get out and play in the mud.

Nice group of finds. What is the round piece above the spoon handle? Looks like it's off of an oil lamp burner?

Nice finds !
You seem to find a lot of Crotal Bell's - were there a lot of Sheep herds years ago in your area ?

crotal bells where attached to a leather strap and on sleighs from what I have read

Congratulations on the finds Terry. We're just about thawed out here. Still in severe drought, but have had a little moisture (snow).

Thanks for the pictures.
