Much needed prayer in this day and time.....If my people will humble themselves and call on My Name..

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness
and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says,
"Woe to those who call evil good." but that is exactly what we have
done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We
confess that:

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it
Pluralism.

We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it
building self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called
it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and
called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from
every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women
who have been sent to direct us to the center of your will. I ask
it in the Name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

We have made criminals into heroes (football players, basketball players, race car drivers, etc.)

We have called those who protect and serve (peacekeepers) as criminals

We let children raise themselves (instead of us training up our children in the way they should go) saying we don't want to stifle their creativity or limit them. We call it 'learning from experience'

We give birth control to children instead of teaching them Godly purity and abstinence and morals - calling it 'protection'

We seek a place to hide when Christianity is attacked instead of boldly and in faith speaking the truth. We call it 'tolerance'.

We ignore our poor and our elderly and we care only for ourselves and we call it 'self-preservation' or 'survival of the fittest'.

We air on TV 'reality' shows depicting the extremes to the depth of cruelty and degradation of others and we call it 'entertainment'

We steal the purity of children by showing them filth at home and in schools, letting them experiment with sex, letting them listen to obscene and profane music and we call it 'the way it is' or say it is 'truth' we are teaching them

There is so much more and Gunswinger we both only touched the tip of the iceberg. Thank you for this prayer and reminder.

"God forgive us and guide us to do what is right in Your sight." Amen
