On Friday 13th ! I visited a field that has not produced much in 5 years. Perfect conditions produced these finds. The first is a base silver denarius of Septimus Severus A.D.193 to 211. The reverse is Septimus sacrificing over a tripod Altar.Severus was born in Leptis Magna North Africa in A.D.146 and died at York England in 211.The next find was a AE Antoninianus of Salonina the Wife of Gallienus A.D.she was murdered along with Gallienus in A.D.268.The reverse is a Doe walking. The last find was a Colchester type brooch of the 1st century A.D. minus its pin which is usual, some decoration along the bow 90mm long
