Mt St Helens-My Short Story

Did some nasty things today--But not like last time--By that I mean did not get any ash on my BALD head--In the 1980 I had never seen ash before So hear comes this big cloud on a clouldless nite and I am standing under a maple tree--The ash is coming down through the trees and it starts landing on my head and after a short time I reach up and forcefully remove it with my hand--I found out in short order that stuff is a form of GLASS--Cause I had a bloody head--That was a surprise--You can find ash quite a few miles from the mountain from 18 years ago YET---I think the Mt. is better than Huracanes---DeathWind1

Think I should not be taking such strong Pain M.----Morph does strange things to your thinking--Oh well Its better than the back pain---Deathwind1

I thought it was no big deal up here in ND when I heard about it in the 80s. I was there about a year later and seen what this volcano did, trees where laid over like toothpick, big valleys cut in were the lava flowed, A logging truck found 3 miles away from where it was parked before it erupted. It was something I had never thought possible could happen and the force of the eruption was greater than i ever imagined. I still have a jar of the dust, or should I say powder sitting on my shelf in my living room to remind me what MT ST Helens did back in the 80s.
I hear many of the plants and trees are growing back better than ever expected, hope to see what it looks like now.
