Mr Bill modified IDX Pro performance?

What exactly does he do to them? and what kind of performance can I expect? I have an opportunity to pick one up and read on another forum a guy was air testing a quarter at 15", is this reasonable?

I have 2 IDX's and for what it's worth:
The "Mr.Bill" IDX air tests a silver quarter @ 15.5".
The factory stock IDX air test the same quarter @ 10".

The Mr. Bill mods include boosting the gain or performance. They usually also include adding an adjustable Threshold and a manual ground balance. The ground balance mod along with the added gain makes the detector deeper by an inch or two in the ground where it counts.

Have a question on the Mr Bill's mode.
At the front of the detector there's a toggle switch
that says SAT 1 and SAT 2. This was added on.
What is the purpose of this setting?

That is the Self Adjusting Threshold. 2 different speeds. It can help in pinpointing a target and working between trash. Brings the detector back to threshold either fast or slow after passing over a target.
