Mr. Bill, concerning the F-75 stability issue

Someone on another board stated that the F-75 was made stable than the T-2 by the company reducing the sensitivity of the F-75. Do you know if this is so?

Or could it be they added extra shielding?

I read that foolish post also. It's just BS because no one has seen a working unit yet, and that includes most at Fisher. It's just one of the many brainless post being made on a subject the poster has no idea about, and most likely no idea how or what detectors do. :heh:

I hope it is just as or more sensitive than the T-2. I like running my machines at the very edge of stability so I need lots of room for that. I'd rather a machine be too sensitive so I can back it off myself rather than having a factory do it for me.

Gee Bill...I thought we was on a first name basis here. I don't mind my name being attached to that statement. Heck you can even quote me on it!
I did say that it was just an opinion and not a I personally was given a F75 last Christmas to test or anything...Gee you guys would think these metal detectors was rocket scientist business or something, Maybe they will protect national security or something.

It wasn't really a foolish post was it Bill? Or does a person not even have a right to speculate and have a conversation on the boards any more.

I know it was probably just an old man ranking off an opinion that doen't even need to be considered yet?

Guys every detector that hits the market is not the greatest thing to ever be produced...It is however in someones opinion!

What ever detector you use, remember this.
Slow down, check your manual to see and understand what your doing and what the detectors capabilities are. From there listen to what others are saying, do your own tests to show yourself approved. And then keep and open mind from that point on!

Enjoy your hobby...There's more fun available.

And even if that old F75 is twice as good as a T2. I'll still enjoy one or the other of them on a warm summers evening, some where out by an old abandon city or town, close to the train station where back in the middle 1800's a story was told of robbery of the train holding the national payroll for the US Military. It's a great story...lets go find some details.

obviously they could easily add extra sheilding to the T2, which they did. They could not make a lower power T2, call it a Fisher, charge 300 dollars extra for a backlight and some stuff that you don't really need, and sell them without a blowback.

It has to be a new circuit in the same housing... like they have been saying.
