Moving to the shore should I keep mxt or get beach detector????

OK OK I know this is the mxt forum and I do love the mxt I have been rather sucessfull with it too.
I am moving to the seashore in several weeks and I am wondering if I should sell or trade in the mxt for a good whites pi detector. I am pondering it because with a detector that is entirely water proof I will not have to worry about getting it wet, plus I can do some detecting while wading in the water.
I know the wife would freak if I kept the mxt and spent another 7 0r 8 hundred dollars for another dector. So the only way to justify it is to sell mxt and get the pi. I do plan to do inland detecting also so if anyone out there has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks!!

I own and love my MXT but for water hunting I own two Detectorpro Divers, I hear the Detectorpro PI's are great machines.

You should be able to get one from the forum classifieds around $300.00 to $400.00 dollars. Many try water detecting and find it's too much work and end up selling them cheap.
