MOVING Decatur, ILL

I know one guy, okieroy, was down there last night to see him. I know the parks there are a no hunt zone, City ordinance.......

I suppose that includes city parks. Is it like that in surrounding cities also. This is breaking my heart. I'm going to be living right by the golf course that shut down I guess I'll have to do some under cover the darkness hunting.

The city of Decatur is already up in arms about metal detectorists, the parks got closed due to a couple of unethical, thoughtless metal detectorist a few years ago and some honest hunters are trying to restore the image of detecting and get the parks open to detecting again by permit or whatever it takes. The last thing we need is for you to come in and ruin it for the rest of us forever. It is people like you who have no respect for the laws that gives the rest of us metal detectorist a bad name and result in closing more and more public property to detecting. The local police do patrol the parks at night, and I would rather you not hunt and risk getting caught for that surely would ruin all hopes of getting the parks open to hunting again.

about 4 yrs ago. We tried to get a permit hunting but was turned down. Sorry

If you do this...we might lose more good sites...so please adhere to the ordinance.

Hunting a site without proper permission is bad enough on the hobby...but hunting one when you already know there is a "NO HUNTING ORDINANCE" would be worse.

We just lost 2 more state parks up here in Mi to the the detectorists. Its mostly the retards who just cant remember or care to make a nice plug or fill in a hole.

Just for all of you who took what i said to heart IT WAS A JOKE. I have never hunted anywhere with out permission and have never had anyone say anything about there property after I was done, So go iron the wrinkles out of your panties and relax. Why would I ask about the ordin. If I was just going to hunt anyways.

Sounds to me like a bunch of you are begging for forgiveness. I 'm apologizing for the remark, it was not meant to cause a stir. I'm sure your all stand up people, like myself and the law is the law.

I WAS hoping you were going to respect the ordinance. I'm glad you clarified what you said...and how it was intended.

We can all move on now and be friends.:)
