Earlier this afternoon, I found this video on the Internet. Some folks are moving some cattle somewhere in the Texas, possibly in West Texas, but it really does not matter where...it brought back some great memories. I have a strong dislike living in this city and have never yet fully adapted to it. I now know how a wild animal must feel being captured and placed in a cage, knowing he will never return to the place he so loved. It was just a few short years ago that I sat in Dr. Oliviers office and heard him tell me that my days on the back of a horse was over...it was akin to being given the death sentence. A part of me died that day as I left that office, and another part of me died as I slowly pulled into the long driveway of the old home place, driving directly to the horse barn where I spent the rest of the day watching the horses play out in the east pasture and then watching the sun set in the west. I will never forget that day for as long as I may live. Kelley (Texas)
