Mother's Beach yields Fathers (lost) Treasure...

Howdy all;
Have been planning to hunt every Friday after work since summer is here, and more specifically, the beaches/rivers/creeks around here. Earlier in the year I traded a MXT for an AT Pro which I traded for a few month old Tesoro Sand Shark. This is her second real water hunt and she is delivering the goods as you will see. Its been a hot as heck week here in Fort Walton/Navarre/Pensacola area with a few days of heat index hitting 100*F. So I roll out of work around 2:30 and by 3 pm I'm in the water at Navarre Beach...Yellow flag with medium surf and I'm finding squat. After 45 minutes, I move to the sound side and hit Mother's Beach. Here family's take their kids to not get knocked about by the waves...I was finding nothing but junk, not even a coin to make me feel good. I was heading away from the road and decided I need to head back as there is nothing here, after all Mom's Beach was letting me down. It was the maiden voyage of my Stealth Scoop and boy is that thing a heavy beast...I decided to give a few more digs of the last few find sounds and lo and behold I bring out a ring...I thought I was seeing things as I was tired and in thigh deep water. First I'm thinking silver, then I realize its not tarnished...so I'm thinking its junk until I pick her out of the scoop...boy was it heavy. I put it in my finds pouch and continued on to my truck. Once inside I look closer and see its a 950 Platinum ring and after I get home and weigh it, turns out its 12.1 g. So now to drive home, have a beer and get ready for having to work a Saturday...
Thanks for lookin'
