I have been testing my Ifinium on some gold samples that I have. I have a 1.1g nugget and a small flake that is probably .1g. The 8" coil seems to be better than the 10x14 dd. I can detect the .1g flake when it is basically on the 8" coil. This is more than I expected actually. I took the 1.1g and tested it in the are at about 3" not good. Then I took it outside and after clearing a patch of ground of all other metal. I buried the nugget at 5", loud and clear, 7" loud and clear, 10" not so loud but still there. Then I tried 12" and it was still detected. I am really impressed. It may not find the small stuff but it will find the rest at a very respectable distance. Cant wait to hit the gold fields. My gold master 2 will detect the same nugget to about 5".
