Most effective? Cmpadre or a 5.75" coil forSilver Umax

I was hoping to get some feedback on which scenario users prefer. There is not that much difference between the price of another coil for my uMax and buying a used Compadre. I currently have the 8", 4" and the 10"X12"coild for my Umax. The main advantage to purchasing a Compadre is that I have a spare detector if one goes out. I read and followed the forum on the advantage of the Compadre over the silver Umax when it came to small gold. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks

If I was you I would get the Compadre, as you mentioned you would have a spare detector plus I do not believe that there is a better jewelry hunter than the Compadre.

Get the Compadre. Ditto what Skiwhiz said.

Also, note that until you send it in for retuning, you will not get optimal performance from the 10x12 coil on your Silver. When you change coil sizes on machines with fixed ground balance, you really need to have it retuned, especially when you go to a larger coil.

Good luck on your final choice!

Why not get a Compadre, then, someday, when you want a spare coil for the uMax, put your money into a BIGGER coil, rather than a small coil...

As always great and timely input. Thanks to all of you. I am buying a Compadre.
