Morro Bay and Central Calif. Beaches?

Hello, I will be traveling up the California coast this week to do some camping and detecting. Anyone have any suggestions on beaches worth hunting between Ventura and Big Sur? Morro Bay looks inviting from the views on Bing maps. Thanks and HH!

live next to Pismo Beach and hunt all along the Central Coast. Morro Bay is not the best place to hunt, but if ya go south about 15 miles Avila beach has been producing real well for the last few months as well as Pismo Beach which I hunt every day. Going a little ways north to San Simeon and the area north of the Pier has always be good to me. Cambria's Moonstone beach is another place to swing low and slow on too.
Good luck

Thanks for the tips Biglry! I really appreciate it. I'll post a report at the end of the week. HH!
