Morning out with the Cibola

Took the Cibola out for a run this morning in a few tot lots. I found a bit over $5, so i was actually happy. I do see though it might benefit me to go ahead and get the 5.75" coil soon. I am really liking the way this small unit works! Plan on taking it out again tomorrow at the local park where they are shooting off fireworks tonight for new years eve.

Same to you! And yes the unit is feather light compared to other units I have used. I wish it had a ground balance only for the beach! other than that this small detector is wonderful for what I plan on using it for.

I agree, its a great detector.

As far as ground balance, the circuit in the Cibola, Vaquero, or Tejon do not adjust all the way to balanced to the wet salt on a salt water beach. At there most negative setting, they are way positive of the wet salt. Can get there in some brackish water conditions but not at the ocean.
Cheers,
tvr
