Norm, Jay, and I headed to the lane, arrived around 5ish or so. Parked at like 6th street. Headed South. I stayed in wet sand and water. Norm and Jay stayed in area between high tide and low tide. Norm got into water just a little. Just a 2 hour hunt since Jay's batteries died. TONS of trash, and i mean TONS!! Couldnt walke 3ft without a null in alot of areas. If we were using pulse detectors, i know we would have maybe found 1/8th of the change and sinkers that we found today. HH yall

Sometimes Sinkers Mean You are Close to Where People Fish:thumbdown:
If it's just a fishing pier and nothing more, I'd get the heck out of there in search of greener pastures.
Your Call, Rob.

;)RobR, Norm, all,

I really enjoy the regular's posts with pictures. Your "haul" today makes me feel a little better about my similar days. Good to see Norm and others are still here on the forum.

I'll be driving past VB a week from Sunday on the way to the Outer Banks w/ the family. I have my tide charts printed and ready to go - unfortunately for me, the low tides will all be in the afternoon during crowded beach hours but I don't expect very crowded beaches where we are going, but I don't know. It's been 10 years since the last trip there.
Take care all - JeffOH

Rob, there is a pier here I hunt close to down here. A co-worker of mine used to work there and said he knew of several occations where a guest had something valuable bounce over the edge and PLOOP, into the wadda! May give it a swing this winter, in low tide. 1 was a large heavy gold college ring. Would I return it after all that life threatening searching? Probably not!
