Got out for a few hours this morning hoping for some old silver coins, I was hunting a row of old houses that are being torn down or moved to expand a parking lot. I had dreams of old silver as these homes were all built pre 60's or earlier. The first yard I hunted was an old red brick house that looks like early 1900's there was some dirt work done around the house so good signals were few. I started in the rear of the house and found a few memorial cents the first really good target I got was the first signal in the front yard near where the porch and steps used to be it was a solid silver signal very shallow I dug a plug and pulled a very heavy silver ring with a red stone in it. I shoved it in my pocket and continued hunting the weather today was a lot cooler than it has been lately and rain was in the forecast I figured if I got rained out I would still go home happy with my 15th ring of the year. I covered the other front yards on the row of houses and worked my way to the back. I did see evidence that someone else had been metal detecting here before me but I was still finding targets to dig so I thought there still might be a silver coin or two. I worked my way back to the place I started, finding more clad along the way while in the parking area of the old brick house I got another silver target at a couple inches down and thinking it was just another dime or quarter it was a nice silver ring with a turquoise stone it was pretty beat up bent and scratched but a nice ring none the less. The wind started picking up so hunted for a little while longer and called it a day with two more rings for my collection. When I got home I cleaned the dirt off the rings and found that along with the red stone on the large ring there were two small stones that tested positive for diamonds and nearest stone I could find that looks like the one on the ring is a fire opal. Here are pictures of the latest along with #14 as promised

WOW! That is absolutely awesome! That DeLeon is magic in your hands my friend. I was watching a guy with his F75 md'ing in the park that I go to and I saw again why so many of us find coins and jewelry in sites that are clearly worked by others. This guy was walking so fast, his coil was moving across the grass in a serpentine pattern. The best detector in the wrong hands. . .

Fantastic finds the rings are cool, save some for the rest of us lol,HHH.

Nice! I really like finding rings.

Update on the red stone on the large ring my wife took one look at it and said it was carnelian I had never even heard of it so I looked it up under gem stones it is not a very expensive stone but has been used through the ages and has many virtues even luck! That's what I need a little luck. Thanks for reading
