Still working out the kinks with this.

Not sure how accurate the color is but it looks so natural (especially for flash) who cares. ;)

Just kidding ... I'm sure it's as accuarate as it is natural.

It's nice ... I'm definitely envious.

Enjoy your new gear, take lots of great pictures and make up proud.

I can't afford that lens but hope soon to buy the 35-70 2.8 in about a month. What do you think of this lens?

Can you post a photo of your equipment? Those of us not familiar with the Nikon line don't have a clue what SB800 is. In fact, I thought in an earlier post you said they were AB800's (Alien Bees, stand mounted strobes). After reading this post I get the impression that the SB800's you are using are smaller. Now, being a novice with flash/strobe photography I only have one comment on the photo. The right side of his face seems a little hot. Seems like either a diffuser or more distance from the subject would help. I really like the composition. Was this a paid shoot or just a target of opportunity?

I shot the image wanting the right side of the face to have more light thus creating depth to the image instead of flat lighting it.
I'll try to post pictures of the equipment this weekend.
