I posted these in the digi forum but I'm sure alot of you don't check that out. First couple are of a grouse - had to be quick to get these shots - they don't hang out too long..

Next is a hawk just getting ready for flight..

Next is an Owl - taken just before daylight - so I had to use the flash - I could have gotten rid of the red eye, but I think he looks kinda cool with them red.

And last but not least is an Eagle - wished it was sunny out that day..but neat pic none the less.

Enjoy all..

I did start shooting in RAW, But haven't really got into the post editing process yet. I've been in shooting raw + jpg and have been saving the raw's until I figure out how to use Capture NX ( I have the 30 day trial pack so far to see if this is what I want.) What Photo editor do you use copperhead? And is it user friendly?/ I'm not that good with computers.

I have tried digital image 10 and corel paint shop X and didn't care for either. I just got Capture NX in the mail yesterday and will experiment this weekend. Hopefully it isn't too difficult to use.

Let me know what you think of Capture NX as compared to the others you've used. I'm debating whether to keep it after the 30 day trial. would like to know what you think of it - seems how you've tried some others - this is the first time I've tried anything (never even had photoshop). and I'm finding it quite involved, but, maybe thats just me. I should probably spend a good many hours to sit down and try to learn it - just haven't had the opportunity yet.
Thanks again Copperhead.

I had a chance to take a picture of a Eagle as big as that one, by the times we backed up, he flew off, we watched him land in another tree, and when we got close, off he flew.Good pictures.....
