These guys were in just a while ago. That three legged buck gets along great it seems. He has made it through 2 hunting seasons so far. He is a six point.

we had at the home place...lived about three years before I found it partially eaten in a pasture over on the Durham Ranch. We had named the deer "Peg Leg" and looked forward to it arriving in our back yard every evening to eat some corn that we put out for the wild animals to eat. I think that it was killed by a pack of dogs that were running loose in the area at the time.

Have you ever put out any salt blocks for the deer? Any syrup blocks or deer blocks made especially for the deer? One undesirable thing about the deer eating in our back yard was that they also ate any flowers that you might have growing there...they really love to eat the flowers. After many years of trying different ways of keeping the deer from eating the flowers, we found out that if you will put a few thin poles around the flower bed, then stretch clear fishing line across the poles, enclosing the flower bed, they will stop eating the flowers.. The deer can not see the fishing line and it spooks them away from the flowers.

Thanks for posting this video, brought back some great memories. Kelley (Texas) :)

you see those short posts? I run a hot wire around all my beds, about 20 inches off the ground and then never cross it. They will sniff it and that learns the suckers :D
