Breezy day today, and the finds were cool too! From left to right. 1891 V nickel, 1907 V nickel, Kosmos pencil sharpener, 54 wheat back , Waterbury Scoville coat button, and old unidentified cartridge. 44 Russion? Go get you some!

Outstanding job on those V's! Buddy, had there been a gold coin in there, you woulda found it!:clapping:
Mud

WTG Msareborn! That's impressive finding two V's at the same time, and then finding the Kosmos, what a hunt :laugh: thanks for sharing! HH

Hatpin;
The button is fairly common in our neck of the woods, because of Fort Sherman from the 1870's - 1930. Some say the buttons we find are from civil war uniforms recycled for the indian wars. That seems to be the only likely explanation. I have a pile of them. Some even have building.

What a cool pencil sharpener. Nice finds.

Button looks like General Services Uniform, Civil War Era...I found one just like it here in Iowa..
