Rain is predicted for tomorrow, so I took advantage of the sunny and slightly breezy weather this morning at a favorite beach.
Much sand had moved as a result of the hurricane ( or had been moved by cleaning crew) , so beach surface was down to "bare bones" in the area that I chose to hunt.
Hunted the dry sand for 2 hrs. and then the damp sand 2 hrs. as the tide was receding.
Found clads,a "wheatie", and loads of junk ( which I won't bother including in the pics).
Also some silver coins , and a token which I am presently researching .The transit company was still in operation as of 1975; will phone the City Hall History Department tomorrow to learn just when the company met its demise.
Here's the link to info re: token.
