You sure have found a lot of bullets but I'm pretty sure they are all post Civil War. The bullets look like 45-70's but lack any evidence of age like a patina. The musket balls look like modern black powder balls, again lacking any patina. I might be wrong though. Was there a shooting range where you are hunting?

Hi Larry I'm not sure but could of been A shooting Range at some point Fort Dodge Is around 1 mile SW of where we hunt yea your right about the bullets being post Civil War 45-70s during the Indian wars during the 1870s till the end whenever that was and the Musket balls have A kind of brown patina to them not sure if its because oh the clay kind of dirt there in but you didn't notice there are some Bullets shown that are pre Indian wars we have another piece of land west of Dodge city we hunt that also had A fort built around it that was built in early 1850s occupied till around 1854 that we find Musket balls and minnie balls there to check out my post from yesterday here titled 10 Hrs of lead and see more of the bullets and musket balls they maybe not Civil War relics but they are Relics so thanks for your input if you have anymore info let me know would love to hear more about history and relics that I'm not sure of HH
