Well, I think I am finally starting to get my ducks all in a row. These are just quick shots. The background material needs ironed, there is a window behind it that needed covered, I stupidly left the overhead light on over my shoulder, etc. etc. but I think I am finally getting a grasp of the settings.
There is 20 pictures on this link. Thes are just how they came out of the camera, not resized or anything. Just econo size and second bar on quality though. If you have dial up you may not want to click on the link.

Especially since bottles seem to be quite a challenge to photograph withou an annoying glare. Your setup appears to be doing the right things. Don't forget a final overview when you are finished.......HH Don

How do ya get your glass bottles so clean .. I have some that no matter what I do I just cant get them suckers clean. Any tips?
BTW .. the pics turned out great.

I still have a long ways to go. The white thick duck fabric I have for a tent is obviously not thick enough because there is still a lot of glare with 100 watt light bulbs only on the outside of the fabric. I bought two 30" photoflex umbrellas off of ebay but I haven't sent the money yet. I was emailed by the friend of the seller that said he is bad in the hospital with heart troubles. So I have to see how that works out. That would help a bunch I think.
Also, my stupid a$$ left the overhead light on. That is some of it.
Sooo, I think if I cut down my fabric to size (I bought tons extra)iron it out, work on my tent material some, shut lights not being used off and the stand not in front of the window, I will be getting closer to what I want. Maybe. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/biggrin.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":D">

buy some muratic acid. Pour it in a plastic bucket in a well ventilated area. soak the bottles in this. It will clean them. Be careful with that stuff. It is used to clean brick after it is lain.
I have used it many times. It is pretty cheap and you can buy it by the gallon.
When you take the bottles out, wearing rubber gloves, just rinse them off with plain water

Some of the bottles I have soaked in the Great Salt Lake here in Utah for a 100 yrs and they are the hardest dang things to get clean. I have tried lime away and CLR and they didnt do much. I hope the muratic acid does the trick.
Thanks,
Shaner
