I decided to see how it behaved in the stat mode, sens was at 85. I first did a fast grab then followed up with a manual ground balance-DO NOT USE A POSITIVE OFFSET. Gave a pretty solid quarter signal from side to side, with just the slightest bounce, but a probable dig-gable signal. Then I went up and down and things got interesting. It bounced all over the place from high to single digits-at times I even got a clear screen-no i.d. at all. [In my ground]
Now there are no other targets around like some of you mention in sites that are literally "trash city." You get the chance go to stat and lower the sensitivity-believe me this mode is supercharged with power so don't worry about going down to lower numbers.
See if this helps, and let us know how it does in "the real world" as opposed to my test bed.

Vlad, it snowed here last night or I would try this myself. You mentioned the numbers bounced all over with the bottle cap when you moved the coil up and down in stat mode rather than left to right. What does it do when you move the coil up and down on a quarter? Does it stay solid? I was just wondering if that result is limited to just the bottle cap or if it will do it to some degree with a quarter also.
