More "oldies" from the old beach...1924 "merc", 1946 "wheatie", and a decrepit Wm Rogers spoon , ....

Sunny , beautiful day today; beaches abandoned except for a few noon lunch walkers.

Not much to "write home about" , but here's a couple of pics from a 3 hr. hunt.

Finally found a "merc" that although obviously worn, was not severely tarnished from the salty ocean; found it in dry sand.

Requesting ID on the "mystery" item if anyone can help ....much appreciated

Thanks for looking at my finds from today

Its like telling somebody to go to the store and buy you a hammerfor.

They ask whats a hammerfor?

You say pounding.

Or go to the store and buy a henway.

They ask whats a henway?

you say about 3 - 5 lbs.

or hen weight.

Anyway. I save all my junk metal BUT some you just have NO idea what it was and put it in the junk with the junk you know what it is.

OK time to get back to work.

I thought maybe the post was a typo....

Levirate:
Levirate marriage is a type of marriage in which the brother of a deceased man is obligated to marry his brother's widow, and the widow is obligated to marry her deceased husband's brother.

p.s. I got fooled really good this time

If i encounter something on the ground that i can't identify and pick it up to check it out and find it is trash i cannot put it back down. In my mind if i do it has now become my litter if i do.
