More info on relic find....

Some may remember the "dude on horse w. funny hat" I dug last week. Since then I have learned it depicts Saint George slaying a dragon & that this motif was used by the British Armies. So my first hope was that it was a British Revolutionary hat badge. I showed front & back pictures to a military expert and he was interested & believes it to be Revolutionary "Loyalist" & a cartidgebox or hat badge. He said very little is known about Loyalist insignias & they are scarce. But, unfortunately it's missing the dragon piece at the bottom. The back shows where it was attached by the post on the head & is no longer there.....Now if I could muster up the dragon part.... :surprised: I will be looking double hard for the other half :twodetecting:
Still it's a cool relic, and the collector is interested in it as a Loyalist "study piece".....

D. Troiani has already looked at it & told me that info........
