More Indians From The Fields!

I was able to get out a couple of times this week, once with my friend Roger and then with Diane. Took Roger out to a field I have not hunted this year, he got a nice little cuff flat button and I got a 1918 Wheat cent. We then moved on to another field which was the first time we have hunted it. Turned out to be super junky as it is right on a busy road, lots of old trash as well. Roger found a couple of clad coins and I did get a partial Eagle button. We then went to a field I have not been at for about a year. This field has been especially good to me in the past giving me 8 Indian Heads plus some old tokens. Roger found a beautiful arrowhead and again it gave me an 1890 Indian Head.

The next day Diane and I went out in the afternoon to the old one room school house site that has been good to us giving up tokens a Merc, Buffalo nickel a bunch of early wheat cents and 11 Indian Heads amongst some other good relics. I added one more Indian Head to this total along with three wheat cents and a Kirk’s Soap Token. This school must have been gone about 1920 as every coin that was dateable is that date or earlier. Diane made a great find with a Medallion that has the date 1907 on it. This is just a guess maybe a graduation Medallion…again that is just a guess but a lovely find for sure.

I second what Sube says about that medallion. That is special. Nice going Diane. It would look great in a display or something.
