More gold and a 5 ring day

Yesterday afternoon I headed out with my wife for a drive. I was going to go early but life got in the way. I was heading to one of my beaches when I spotted another lake on the map. I went around it and saw a nice beach!!! Only problem is there were private lake signs all over the place. So being the creative person I am I found a person mowing his lawn 3 houses down from the beach. I told him what I do and he said have at it. He also said if anybody asked tell them that I am his guest!! All I needed to know!! Jumped in the water and away I went.

The gold ring is only 10K, the two beside it are sterling. The other 2 rings including the big one were silver plated. RATS. Anyway one silver dime, one token, DPM Detroit is all I can read at the moment. One canadian nickle and 5.81 cents in change. Hopefully this weekend will be a lot better. My wife has to work on Mother's Day and so I get to play!!

This kind of reporting is what this hobby is all about!!!

Thanks for keepin' us charged up.

I have a private lake that I have to dive this next year when I retire. It was open from the '30's until the mid '70's when it was incorporated into a housing/lake development and cordoned off from the public. I found out about it from a friend that said, "Hey, John. You gotta find my 1961 high school ring down there." The more he told me about it the more I researched it and the better it sounded. I have since contacted a land owner and have complete access.

I expect to drag my travel trailer down there and spend a week or so since it is 125 miles from home.

In the meantime, keep up the lootin! Thanks for posting. It won't be long you 'll be haulin' up SLQs and WLHalves! That's when the fun really begins!
