Got out again this time i found a aluminum arrow, that must have hit a tree and broke i found it in two sections 50ft apart you know i thought i had a silver but it was a copper plated slug you can hear the sand hill crains in the background .

That arrow might have went half way through a deer and broke, but what's the funny looking thing on the end of it? Doesn't look like a target head or a broad head?

critter the arrow is a blunt head for squirils and rabbits its just the blunt force that kills them . Imagine 50 lbs pull translated into that small tip it gives a real wallop

I'm a crossbow hunter for deer but I never saw tips like that used for small game. Makes sense.

Nice video gunnar. I think those Sandhill Cranes wanted to mate with your detector

they are welcom, when Im not mating with it . ha ha LOL

You did better than me. Went out today to a spot we've beat up over the years with different machines. Only managed a copper penny. There was a rusty hot rock in the hole with it but it still gave me a good signal. My ProPointer went off on the hot rock. Got up and re-checked the hole and still had the coin signal. Thought I might be in for something good but no dice.

Critter thank you , now i dont feel so badd I,m not the only one singing the penny blues.

today I found a 1917 D Wheatie.... only about 1" in the ground, in a place that looks pretty similar to where Gunnar is hunting... other than a nickle and clad cent, the rest was shotgun shells and rifle brass. But the Wheatie is in pretty good shape! Cleaning it up now.

Gunnar, you have the heart of an archeologist. I would have quit a long time ago.
Hat tip to Gunnar!
