Brought my father-inlaw fishing in CT over the holiday and the other pic is of my friend and the Schroon River. Mt father-in-law, Ed caught his first largemouth over 3 ibs., a few smaller bass and the pickeral that broke his pole. The pole was faulty but he has a nice story to tell his friends, "It was sooo biiiggg it broke the rod.: 
My other friend has on an 18"+/- brown on a fly he tied with me hors before. it was his biggest trout on a fly-rod and first on a fly he tied. It was a blessing to be there with him and his dad.

It is more relaxing for me than detecting in some ways. Or perhaps I am more relaxed these days. i got into fly fishing this past year and it has opened a whole new world. i have to learn how to cast, what flies work and how to tie them. i have to learn more about insects and their life stages as well as minnows and crustaceans the fish feed on.
