I spent more time photographing, editing, sizing etc all the photos then I did actually metal detecting for this hunt. However, I treasure the hobby of photography also, as it really compliments the hobby of metal detecting also. I can't imagine this forum without pics of all the great finds made. Above is an old steel enamel plated dish. Also got a shoe or boot cleat and a small horseshoe, made out of aluminum. What's up with that? They have always been made out of forged steel????

Below are a couple of old flashlights, which used to run on 2 x D cell batteries. They all had that sliding switch on the side to turn them on or off. The more expensive ones had changeable blue and red colored lenses. We sure have come a long way with portable hand held lights today. :)
