More finds from SLQ park

A couple of weeks ago I posted a nice 1917 SLQ I found at a park that I had previously thought was cleaned out. At Bryce's suggestion, I purchased an SEF 10 x 12 coil and have since basically rehit the entire park (not quite done yet). Including wheats, in 7 trips (1 rain-shortened yesterday) I have pulled 61 more old coins from it, the best being the SLQ and 1866 & 1876 Indians.

Again, forgive my pix, but I'm hoping Santa will bring me a camera that'll get me some clearer photos (unless you folks have some suggestions- background, lighting, etc. I use a Sony Cyber-shot 4.1 megapixel). The 3 pics are the whole group of finds since my last post, the 2 key date Indians and the 4 silvers.

For you numbers folks, here's a break down of what I've found at this park through the years. Mind you, compared to my "Seated Park" in Fall River, it's probably 1/20th the size at best.

Lg Cents- 12
C/N Indians- 5
Indians- 93
Wheats- 201 (25 of the 1909, or early teen w/mm variety)
2 Cents- 8
1/2 dime- 1
Shield nickel- 1
V-nickel- 2
Buff nickel- 2
Seated dime- 4
Barber dime- 17
Merc- 21
Rosie- 1
Barber qtr- 2
SLQ- 1
Foreign- 11
Tokens- 3

HH All!

Jeff

Very nice finds. As far as the photos, I usually have better luck by not using the flash. I just put the coins on the windowsill (indirect sunlight) in the daytime, and that is enough light to get a decent picture. Of course use macro setting if you have it. Congrats.

Great finds Jeff !! I've got a park I've always called "IH park" because its rare that I come away without multiple IHs. Reminds me of your park - you're pulling older, deeper stuff that everyone else has missed. Note: you have ONE Rosie to ALL that older silver - shows you're finding the older stuff that's left. I have 3 Rosies to a 1/2 reale, a 3 cent silver, 4 seated dimes, 8 barber dimes, 12 Mercs, 2 Barber quarters, 1 Washington. The #s are similar to yours. An older park that's been hunted and hunted but there is still alot of older stuff still hiding ! Good work !
