Went out this morning to a local trashy park, got in a hour before the rain came...I changed my settings around from the previous park hunt because I wasn't doing so good...New settings-- Stock coin mode.. Gain at 8 ..high trash on..recovery deep and fast on...multifrequency...sensitivity auto+3(went to + 1 after detector flip out)....limits and variability maxed to 30.....First hit was zinc penny at 3 inches, I kind of knew it was a zinc by the tone and the area on the smartscreen..I x'ed it out on the smartscreen before digging it ..Hit 3 clad quarters, ..they all gave the same high tone and came over roughly the same area on the smartscreen ..depth 5 to 7 inches, pinpoint was very accurate except one was on edge and was in the side of the hole.. I'm starting to like this machine, maybe there has been some improvement over the last 2 decades in metal detectors but I'm not tossing away my 1986 6000DI pro just yet...I'm going to hit a old mill abandoned in the woods back in 1870, was built in 1796..I'll let ya know how I make out
