more digging in the seated dime spot

New member
Hving been inspired by the 1879 seated dime i went out last night to hunt in all metal with the ts-800 and found over 100 nails and other relics some native american wast flakes salt glazed pottery a tobaco can an a live 30-30 shelland a nice red agate and a brick Ironic how with no efort i find the dime and no detector but when i go back i work my but off with the detector and find nothing this remids me of Grace V works salvation must be of gods soverign grace because when we sin and break the law we are under the curse of the law and no amount of good deeds can ever undo what we have done But God found a way by sending his own son in the the flesh that by his suffering and death on the cross he might be just in forgiving sinfull man that he might be just that is If he just forgave us without exicuting the penalty of the law he would have shown he did not care for justice and would have treated the bad like the good so it is a free gift without works by faith. It is our duty do do what is just and right but this spot may yet yeald some more great finds just like potluck said I may not make lots of finds on this old farm but the one i do find will be good ones and so it is

Gunnar,

I do have to say....that is dedication to un-masking any coin that may be in the area lol WOW! That is an amazing amount of digging! I think with all the nails, you have located where the house was and can reconstruct it. lol. Yep, I get ya on the no detector / find a 1879 seated coin in plain sight. Bring the detector / don't find one coin. It is true - you may not find quantity of coins ( then again who knows - the old man could of had coins filled to the brim in one of those pottery pots :) ) but will certainly find quality. Super nice array of goodies and certainly tells the beginning of a good story. I have a good feeling the following chapters to this saga are going to be very interesting. Keep us posted on the progress. You will do just fine since you have a small fleet of :minelab: detectors, patients, persistence and the drive to clear the area out.I wonder where the outhouse was? hmmm or a barn? Large trees? stone wall(s)? A well? A water supply nearby (pond, brook)
