I took a break today and hit the football stadium again for 3 hours. Nothing old but I don't expect it at this site. I used the 6" EX and all the finds were 5" or less. Rob

Looks like you hit the bank. I don't know of many places where I could find that much in one day let alone 3 hrs. HH Dennis in Idaho

It's the same place between the entrance gate, concession stand, bleachers, football field, and porta-potty's. I don't have it hunted out yet. Rob

Looks like you've got enough $$ there for a few gallons of diesel fuel for a short trip South. Nice haul there Rob! HH to all, Nancy

The main reason for so many coins is NO ONE ELSE HUNTS THERE. There is a fence and the gates are locked . I guess no one has discovered the turnstile which is always open.

Thanks Monte. I once read a post by Monte about the early days of detecting. He talked about being the first guys with detectors to hit parks where coins had been accumulating for a hundred years and no such thing as detectors to find them. I've always wondered what it must have been like. Probably like my hunt only with silver. Monte if you ever find time I'd like to see you write a post about that time again. Rob
