Returned to beach that has old military trash.. found a cool genral service button,no back on it though.. found 6 -50cal bullets, an 1899 german penny with a chunk notched out of it,a snap on earing dont know if its silver or not, a little less than 3 dollars clad and lots and lots of old trash... man i was exhausted from all the digging..just didn't quite pay off as good as i had hoped quality wise but that's how it goes...[attachment 327206 20160222_1717431.jpg][attachment 327207 IMG_20160221_162459463_HDR1.jpg][attachment 327208 IMG_20160221_1625111521.jpg][attachment 327209 IMG_20160222_171301984_HDR1.jpg][attachment 327210 IMG_20160222_171415319_HDR1.jpg][attachment 327211 IMG_20160222_1714352071.jpg]

Thanks texas kieth and ed... i appreciate that info kieth.. i thought it might possibly be that old but when it comes to buttons it's so hard for me to research.. the potential to find cool buttons at this strech of beach is my motivation to dig so much junk... and yes unfortunately the button back is missing.... thanks again.

Beach junk the title says...humbug have you been talking to my wife? That's how she describes all my finds but I know they are all valuable treasures. I mean you should see my rare pull tab collection.

I'll take that junk crowned with such a nice button find. Good hunt there bootyhoundpa

Right you are dighistory, that button is the silver lining ..then again im not sure whether the clip on earing is silver or not,so.. naw i would take the old button any day..

Most of my buttons come out of salt water and you need to neutralize the salt. Soak it in fresh water then after it dries...a light coat of mineral oil.
