Hello All. Went back to the beach where the Australian surf live savers championships were held one and half weeks ago. The locals would have given a good going over the next day. I searched on and around the sand dunes and still found some coins. The coins count was58 for a total of $23.75. I also happened to find a nice pearl ring. The top of the ring setting looked like silver or white gold with a small clear stone each of the pearl. the round section was made out of gold and marked 9ck.nearly finished making a decal face for our coins in aussie for the patriot meter. The ten cent coin appears in two different places on the scale not far apart from each other. It looks like that there is a different mixture of metal used between the early and later coins. Up to now I have not found anything registering between these spots so I will keep it blank for the time being. Apart from that little problem the meter locks on the coins spots every time. I hope to be going out on Friday if the weather holds out. All the best Stan.

Hi Stan,
Beautiful ring! It looks like an antique. I did some research on the web and couldn't find any information on the '9ck' rating.

What model Sovereign are you using?
Thanks,
Steve.

The only hallmark inside the ring was stamped 9ct.the unit that I use is a sovereign XS with a 15 inch wot coil for any beach detecting that I do. It is tops for depth and covering ground area.
