More about the BHID : I've been talking to Joel in Winna....

He tells me that some of the canidian coins hit/id sometimes as Iron/red light or flick between red and yellow. Any of yall seen this??? Also is the "ID" more accurate in all metal or disc?

I can see hunting sometimes in AM mode but some areas I hunt are iron riddled. I mean bad. I know it still ID's in AM mode but in bright sunlight how can you see the LEDS? Are the responses shorter and smaller on non-iron? I think mine's at the post office as i type!!! ;~)

Hey I got one with stock coil and ( I AM CANADIAN ) since I water hunt with mine ( all fresh water ) I can tell you this, I very seldom look at the lights. Here in the great lakes in dig every thing and not to often been disappointed. I sure someone will jump all over this but hey go ahead. I started with the DFX because I could teach the machine to respond to all the Canadian coins ( toonies and loonies ) as well as all the smaller ones. Once the DFX was programed the VDI numbers were never that good for Canadian coins be the tunes were great. I learn to tell the difference between the junk and the good stuff. So when I start water hunting with a new machine (BHID) . So I started as I always do with a new machine I dig everything. ( in the Water ). I have not used it on land because I like the DFX . What I found is that Canadian coins will show yellow, I have not seen red on a coin yet. Where I"m from red will even be good sometimes, car keys, lures, sunglasses, dog tags, boat hardware, etc. Don't let the color stop you from digging, remember one mans garbage is another man's treasure.
