Found this token today, but have no idea what it is for. Does anyone know what a skigger is?
Thanks and HH!

I don't know but it's cool. Maybe it's money they used at the mine store. I know minning Co.'s sometimespaid thier workers with thier money that was only good at thier stores. Google it.

I have no idea Jon, but that is a real nice find.

2 Skiggers are worth about $120 though. http://www.thetokenstore.com/store.php/TheTokenStore/pd168424/bozeman_montana_john_m_peets_two_skiggers_token

That's a really cool find! Here's what I came up with. How different. That's a great keeper for sure!

"Skigger...what is a Skigger???(old meaning..not new.)

A Skigger was a sales promotion idea that came into use back in the early teens. Merchants would package small value merchandise (usually unsaleable items) in bags and place the bags in a barrel. With a skigger token you could select one of the bags out of the barrel...for free. Sort of...you get a prize!"
