I am asking for a friend who is a [ Tool & Die Person ]...He travels the world quite often with the company he is with and has time to water hunt...Any input on what would be the best detector to choose.....Brandy.

iv owned them all and for me the Excal is over all the best.

I own an excal 1000, CZ-20 and a Infinium LS ,I find twice as much GOLD with my Infinium LS, than I do with my excal, but the excal is good in trashy areas. My CZ-20 is my back up if I need one.The Infinium is one of the deepest detectors on the market today , it just depends on how much GOLD you want!!!!!! Happy Huntting ,RON LORD Naples ,FL

If money was no object, I would buy one of those big beach rake trucks and use that and set it to about 20 inches.
But I would buy an Excalibur with Gray Ghost headphones.

With my luck I would miss the treasure and have a few hundred pounds of beer cans. Seems like that is all I have found the past two weeks. Oh yea I forgot I found a few pennies that have rotted away.

Brandy,
Before you turn on any detector know the detecting laws of the county you are in. Homework is very important.

Hey All, most my life I have already lived and am now going to try to become a "detectorist" after several hours of research I ordered a MPX-Pro ???did i make a mistake?, I haven`t seen too many comments about them, as yet, on this forum. Any advice from veteran treasure hunters would be appreciated.
