I decided to go to a park that I was pounding last year. This particular park gave up a dozen silver coins, and many Wheat's for two months.

I walked out onto the baseball outfield, GB'ed, and started searching. Within a few minutes, I had another one of those soft, sweet, High Coin hits from an indicated 6". I dug, and recovered a Wheat, a '24. Nice and old! I filled in my hole, stood up, swept the hole again, and continued swinging to the left. Ping! Another one! What luck! From 6" down, I recovered another Wheat, a '44.

After recovering that target, I worked a lane for about 20'. I turned around, and started another lane back, right beside the first one. When I got to within 6' of where the Wheat's had been, I get another soft, sweet, High Coin hit for an indicated 6". However, this is what I saw in the dirt:

And it's a '24! A Merc and a Wheat from the same year, go figure!
