Monday afternoon hunt, more silver

Got out for a few hours after work.

Best finds were:

1902 Indianhead Penny (first for me)
1902 Barber Dime
191? Toasted Mercury Dime
1899 Barber Dime

Oh by the way, I LOVE MY NEW ETRAC!!!!!

I have had it for about three weeks now and have found 50 ish wheat pennies and about 17 silvers. The more I use this thing, the better it gets. I am getting more confident with tones instead of ID numbers. I have pulled a pile of silver with different ID numbers than are typical. I need to go back over some of the areas I looked cause I didn't dig when I should have knowing what I know now. Most of the coins have been 5-8" in the ground but I did snag a wheatie the other day at a measured 12".

Happy Hunting

Great hunt! 3 silvers and an indian is a great day.

Just about the time you get comfortable hunting in conductive (like I have for nearly 4 years), get someone to show you two tone ferrous.

I have been resisting TTF because I love the tones on conductive. I learned TTF on Sunday and I, along with a new hunting buddy (also hunting with an ETrac) who showed me how to use TTF, found two Merc's in an area of two city lots that has been hunted hard by two ETrac's, a Safari, an XP Deus, and other machines. I have pulled 3 other Merc's out of this small (200' x 100') are in the past with the ETrac and the DEUS.

You have to slow down in TTF, but if you are hunting in a bad spot with lots of iron, it will show you stuff you wouldn't see otherwise.

HH with your ETrac!!

I'd be interested in knowing what different numbers the silvers showing....
