Modified IDX Pro makes a dandy beach machine.

I don't beach hunt very often even though I live across the street from a nice beach but we had some super low tides today so I hit the beach today with my Mr. Bills modified IDX Pro. I hunted around and under a local fishing/swimming dock using the little 5.3 Bullseye coil because this site is loaded with iron. The little Bullseye coil did well for it's size. Our beaches her in Washington State are pretty nasty with hot rocks and black sand so ground balancing was a bit tricky but I was hitting coins down to 8 inches.

It is nice to see that you are still using that modded IDX Pro. Just got mine back from Mr. bill the other day. It is a little dry here so I'm waiting for some ground softening rain.

The old classic still have lots to offer .Nice hunt and finds !!

Hi Steve,
Looks like you are all set for salmon season with that group of buzz bombs! Fun day!
Best Regards,
Steve

But, as all savvy White's users know, ANY day afield with one of the best White's models ever made can be a "great day."

How have the old logging towns been producing? There's one down here I want to work but need to find more photos of it to figure out what the layout was.

Logging towns, mining camps, picnic and recreation sites, and even beaches are a 'can do' task for a modified IDX Pro.

Thanks guys! Monte, I spent most of my time this winter going back over some of my well hunted ghost town sites with the IDX Pros and small coils. I did better than I expected seeing how I've been over these sites with many different makes of detectors over the years. The majority of finds were deep dimes and nickles close to trash. My modified IDX Pros bang on deep nickles better than my XL Pro. I picked up quite a few V's and Buff's that I missed on past hunts. The little 5.3 Bullseye coil is a perfect match for the modified IDX Pro for most of my hunting and with the depth I've been getting with it I don't see any need for a larger coil. If I need to go larger I use my XL Pro with the 9 1/2 inch coil for hunting large Parks and lawns most of the time.
