This was my Blue Eagle before I started but I made the case smaller and repainted it.Now it takes 8 AA batterys.I use the teknetics/Bounter hunter coils because they are lighter.I have a 10" and also 8" open coil.It has the eagle 2 update chip and works great.

Basically you made a black Eagle S/L out of it and defeated the wrist breaking blue box..I guess you are very handy, but myself looked around and got a nice Eagle 11 S/L90( black box) from an estate and love the two user set programs for same..I don't understand wanting a lighter coil as the stock 9.5 weight balances the unit much better. To each his own and a tip of the hat for a job well done...

Hey Paul wv-

This thread caught my eye because I got an Eagle on e Bay recently that was modified and looks EXACTLY like this - even down to the v.d.i. scale sticker being upside-down on the top of the box. Did you happen to sell this unit on eBay to a guy whose username is 'wan2sel'?
