Modified Cibola label

Member
Just bought an used Cibola for add Sven's ground balance knob.
But I did not like control box label...
Here is a shot of a work in progress...

Little update...
"German side", just added a paratrooper. For background colour I'm gonna do some tests but white is not so bad.
Now I'm gonna set up "Allied side".

Nice looking decals you have there! It should compliment the looks of your modified Cibola. With the modified Cibola, do you think that it will outperform your Bandido ll uMax? Just be carefull out there, with all of that ordinance, those handgrenades and mortar shells could be ' Live ' ..................Hombre

Hi Hombre,
You're right.
Unfortunately, here in centre Europe, You should coiche another hobby...if You are worried about unexploded shells.
Here is the Allied side: a G.I. and a Russian soldier take prisoner an Italian Alpino.

Hombre,
I think that a modified Cibola goes deeper than a Bandido 2 umax.
Its Supertune mode is the same of Vaquero and gives a plus on Eurosabre or Bandido 2.

I have the first model Bandido and the Bandido ll uMax, the Bandido ll uMax is a little deeper than the first model. Although the first model Bandido handles the nail infested trashy sights better. It is just a matter of picking the right detector for the soil conditions. In the old homestead places that I like to hunt in, there is usually an abundance of iron trash at these type of sights, a detector like the first model Bandido has excellent iron disc.and separates the rusty nails from the higher conductors very well. In these types of places you have to move forward slowly and use a slow sweep speed, and check targets at different angles.Regards...........Hombre

I love my bandido 2 and with the 7" troy coil on is a killer in really trashy grounds. Also, I like to test detectors, and a Cibola (with gb mod and trigger) looks very tasty.
I was impressed by a Vaquero with supertune (that is not only an audio amplification as for Bandido 2 and it makes a vaquero as deeper as my Tejon UK), but one knob for all metal an discr. mode it's a bit annoying. So a Cibola with a gb and a trigger to simulate a Tejon could be a nice trip (and it should have a faster autotune to handle better high mineralized grounds). It's lite, and if I'll manage to not burn it doing the mod we could be nice friends.

Take r,

Easy fix, remove the two wires from the pot that control all metal on/off. Then hook them up to a on/off toggle switch that can be placed onto the detectors faceplate.

Hi Sven,
I wanna play only with the second hand Cibola that is coming in.
I've just ordered pot and trigger switch to Mouser Electronic. I'll send You some questions via PM, if it does not bore You.
Here is a "fit test" with a black and white dummie decal.
Next step will be to find a professional photo shop for an high resolution print on adhesive paper.
Take r,
Ale

Take note, not all Cibola's are created equal.
Some are hotter than others by 1 1/2" or so right from the factory.
Compare the one you own and the one coming in. Try an air test.
Use my air test as a bench mark, as I believe those will be the average for a factory unit.

Then you can decide which one to use, for the mod.

Hi Sven,
I have a Vaquero and a Cibola (coming in soon), and some other detectors of the same brand.
Here are some final shots of the laser prints on adhesive paper (cost: 1 euro for each page). I tried different compositions for more labels in each page, leaving space for right shape on each side (got a max of 8 in a A4 paper).
Many thanx for Your precious support.
All the best,
Ale
