Modified Cibola GB Adjustment.

KurtB

Member
I have a modified Cibola that works great with the stock coil. I bought a bigfoot type coil for it that is the correct coil but I run out of GB range on it. It will get close but not right on. Is there any way to adjust the range of the GB, even just a little bit?

Thanks for any help.

Kurt

Yes, it's 10 turn. If I turn it all the way clockwise, positive I think, it gets in the ballpark with bigfoot style coil. When I bump the bigfoot coil it gives a false signal. The other one doesn't. Maybe the coil has a problem.

I don't know if you are laying the coil flat on the ground, but I was having problem ground balancing my Bigfoot coil on my XL Pro. Someone told me just to put one end of the coil to the ground. Then Ground balance. Worked like a charm:detecting:.

Kurt you must mean a tesoro cleansweep coil? 18" long right?

I have one for my Vaquero and it GBs fine.

You might try the mods forum, look for a guy named Sven, he has modded a few cibolas I believe and could probably help you out.
