Can anyone help me with a PDF or a look inside a Classic II or III with the mr. bills mods, and a PDF on the MXT mods.

I feel I could figure the Classic out on my own but would still like to see a step for step. Any help would be much appreicated

Don't think Mr. Bill would appreciate that, but we shall see...I did the GB and Threshold mods myself, but I have no clue on the boost mod...

HH,

I wasnt asking for the mr. bill to post, just an example of how it was done.

I am pretty sure I have figured it out anyway, one of the standup pots is the threshold and the lay down pot behind the threshold is the GB pot. I will add an external 200k pot for the threshold and a 10k 10 turn external pot for the GB. I have done mods to machines before, from my cibola to my minelab musky. I was just asking for some help technical help:)

Thanks for helping me with the correct pots Mr. Bill. Here is a finished picture of the product that I did, I built a straight aluminum shaft for him as well.

Hi oldsparta. I was wondering what mods you've done to your Musky. I too did the threshold and ground balance mods on my old classic II a few years ago. I've since sold it to some guy in Russia. I don't know about the boost circuit either. I have a pdf if you're still looking.

100k for the threshold and 50k for the ground balance..don't worry about 10 turn it isn't needed!!
The boost mod is a couple of resistors but you wont see much gain on the newer classics (maybe an inch on them) with the white paint label they are pretty much already boosted from the factory....it works on the older silver label and red and white label better .(.maybe 3-4 inches increase)

Every white painted label I have done the power mod too hasn't increased much but the ground balance and threshold do add more depth in ground!

Now the old silver label ones seem to take the boost mod the best!

I'm not sure Mr. Bill want's anyone to know which resistors to change for the power mod?I figured it out through looking at newer models compared to older models..You need to drive the coil a little hotter and turn the receive gain up also..
